Paddleboarding is great fun and very quick to learn. Most people are gliding across the water within minutes. The boards are light, stable, and easy on the body, making them well suited to disabled paddlers and those new to watersports.
A wide range of adaptations are available to make the session work for different needs. There are multiple paddle and grip options to suit varying levels of hand strength and dexterity, and different ways of getting on and off the board with as much support as required. Participants can paddle sitting, kneeling, or standing, and change position during the session if that feels right. Boards are chosen for stability and confidence, and the day is delivered in a calm, inclusive, and supportive setting.
This is an excellent opportunity to try a craft that is genuinely accessible: lightweight to handle, simple to launch, and inexpensive to own. Paddleboards transport easily in a car boot and take up less space than half a wheelie bin at home.
This is a try-it-out day, just long enough to try things out, get a taste, and leave wanting more.
